Juxtaposition-Marriage/Death Gown

This inspiration for this gown was Marriage and Death. It is a mermaid style made of a black brocade with a white embroidered net on the front bodice, along with a back rhinestone zipper. It has curved seam lines creating an interesting but understated details. There is a white overskirt that is attached with a beaded belt made out of a taffeta base and thirty yards of poly-organza gathered and sewn on. This gown was featured in the Fashion Institute of Technology annual FADC runway show in May of 2019 as the finale piece.
